MB10 is a dual active broad-spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi.  MB 10 biocide is an aqueous solution of BIT (1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one) and MIT(2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one) at a ratio of 1:1 for the in-can preservation of technical products.

Properties

 

Composition:

An aqueous solution of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT.)

Boiling point:

100℃

Storage stability:

Stable under normal conditions of storage down to 0℃. If frozen, allow to thaw and stir well before use. Active agents are heat-stable and non-volatile.

Flash point:

Boils without flashing

Compatibility:

Compatible and effective over PH range 3-10.

Recommended to be used under 80℃.

MB-10 preservative with the very different modes of action of the active agents is particularly effective in preserving a wide range of industrial aqueous-based products from bacterial and fungal spoilage. Application areas include:

Packing and Storage

1000kg IBC or 25kg/PE drum.

A shelf life of 1 year is expected if material is stored in sealed original packaging.

Notice: At temperatures < -5 °C BIT and BIT-sodium  salts may crystallize. By heating up to max. 50°C and stirring, the product may be dissolved  again. The quality of the product will not be impaired.
