Biocides used to preserve liquid detergents water base.

 

Our factory produces various bactericides, preservatives, mildew preventives, and algaecides. Widely used in petrochemical, electric power and metal industrial circulating water treatment, paper industry, wood industry, paint industry, leather industry, chemical industry and metal machining liquid industries.

I recommend some types of biocides which are used to preserve liquid detergents water base. Used in the products of Dishwashing liquid, Liquid Detergent and Fabric Softener, etc.

 

1)   BIT20 biocide; (Benzisothiazolinone 20%)

BIT20 is an anti-bacterial aqueous solution, with 20% active content of 1, 2- benzisothiazolin3-one. Formaldehyde free.

It is a broad-spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial aqueous-based products against spoilage from all kinds of microorganisms. Suitable for all types of formulations. It is an efficient microbiostat preservative for aqueous compositions such as oil in water emulsions. It is also called Proxel GXL in abroad.

 

2)   CMIT/MIT 14%

The active ingredients of CMIT/MIT 14 are identified using the IUPAC nomenclature as 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-Methl-4-isothiazolin-3-one. 

CMIT/MIT-14 microbicides are high performance, broad spectrum, antimicrobial agents.They are effective at very low concentrations in controlling both the planktonic and surface growth of bacteria, fungi and algae.

 

CMIT/MIT-14 microbicide is not deactivated by suspended organic matter, and is compatible with other water treatment additives, including chlorine.  It is important to use a biocide such as CMIT/MIT-14 which remains stable at higher pH values. Low toxicity at use levels, easily deactivated and biodegradable.

CMIT/MIT-14 is ideally suited to meet the requirements of water treatment biocide.

 

3)   CMIT/MIT 1.5CG (Kathon CG)

CMIT/MIT-1.5CG is water based biocide to preserve body washes, conditioners, liquid soaps, shampoos and wipes. It is supplied as an aqueous solution readily incorporated into cosmetic formulations; With low dose.

 

Kathon CG has good compatibility with surfactants and emulsifiers, irrespective of their ionic nature; It's effective over the entire pH range normally encountered in cosmetics; CMIT/MIT 1.5CG has no color or odor imparted to cosmetic products. It's environmentally preferred, Rapidly biodegradable; Not bioaccumulating.

 

4)   DMDMH 55% Solution (DMDM Hydantoin)

DMDMH 55% is a kind of broad spectrum, the highly effective antimicrobial preservative. Easily soluble in water, can be added into the cream at room temperature or the emulsion ingredients of coatings. DMDMH offers good compatibility with cationic, anionic and nonionic surfactants, emulsifiers and protein, and offer antimicrobial activity in long term, wide PH value and temperature range. DMDMH can inhibit Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria and other bacteria, or used to control the growth of yeast and mold. The use of a wide range of PH and temperature ranges has been stable.

 

It could be used in all kinds of cosmetics and personal care, the maximum use concentration is 0.6 %, can also be used in cosmetics with iodide butylmethyl-butylmethine ester. The antisepsis of daily products such as shampoo, conditioner, shaving, foundation, lotion, cream, baby products, sunblock and cleaning agent, etc.
