2-Butyl-1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-One (BBIT) is a chemical compound whose main application is the removal of microorganisms adhering to polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polysiloxanes (silicones), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and other polymeric materials. The compound is miscible with plasticisers, organic carriers and diluents, is easy to use, and has good UV resistance, making it less likely to fail in outdoor use.
It is specially designed to kill and erosion microorganisms attached to polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polysiloxane (silicone), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and other high polymer materials. It can be mixed with plasticizer, organic carrier and diluent, making it easy to use.
