Methylisothiazolinone / Benzisothiazolinone (MIT/BIT) Preservative Blend is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial solution formulated to protect water-based products from bacterial, fungal, and algal contamination. Combining Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) and Benzisothiazolinone (BIT), this synergistic blend offers enhanced long-term preservation and excellent stability under harsh conditions, making it ideal for industrial, marine, and household formulations.

The MIT/BIT blend provides powerful microbial control while maintaining low toxicity, ensuring reliable protection for paints, coatings, detergents, adhesives, and water treatment chemicals.

It is an aqueous solution of BIT (1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one) and MIT(2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one) at a ratio of 1:1 for the in-can preservation of technical products. Free of VOC- and AOX. It is formulated without the addition of any organic solvents, halogenated organic compounds, formaldehyde releasing compounds or bivalent metal ions, and therefore, it is highly compatible in most binder and paint systems.
