Methyl isothiazolinone (MIT) is a highly effective bactericide, a heat-resistant water-based preservative, and has a good effect on inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. It can inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, molds and molds. 

The active single agent can be widely used in industrial cooling water, oil field tank water, paper industry, pipelines, coatings, paints, rubbers, cosmetics, photosensitive films and cleaning products. The effective amount is small, non-toxic and non-polluting, and it can be easily mixed in various formulas. The PH has a wide range of use. After diluting the concentration, it is easily biodegraded into non-toxic and non-polluting substances. Low toxicity, no residual emissions, good compatibility with various emulsifiers, surfactants and protein ingredients. 

MIT can effectively kill a variety of bacteria at low concentrations, and is especially suitable for the storage of cosmetics and personal care products. Applicable pH range pH2.0-12.0, miscible with water, can be added in any process, easy to operate. This product can directly add personal care products, cosmetics, coatings, pulp and other fields.

Usage and Cautions 

For use in daily chemicals, the concentration is 0.02-0.1% (w/w), depending on the storage environment and whether the product is susceptible to damage of microorganisms.

For use in paints, synthetic polymer emulsions and other water-based systems, the general concentration of using is 0.05-0.1% (w/w); 

It can be added at any production step; but it's suggested to be added at the final step at less than 50 ℃; avoid adding at a temperature of higher than 50 ℃. Wear protective clothes, rubber gloves, goggles and masks; avoid any contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Package & Storage:

Packed in 25kg/drum, 200kg/drum, IBC drum;  Wrapped in pallets to ensure the cargos are not damaged during transportation. To be stored at room temperature in a dark place; with a shelf time of one year.
